Here we are again at the start of another month. With that said a refresher on the daily giveaway rules:
1- follow this blog
2- comment once each day before midnight EST.
That's it. I randomize all the entrants three times top spot wins.
The winner last night was: Derek.
Okay, now let's hit the scans hard. These are the cards I pulled out of those $1.00 boxes that I made a box deal (5 boxes with the ability to later go through them and return up to 4 boxes). I returned three. The net cost of the keepers were a dime each.
In hindsight I wish that I didn't return three of the five boxes I bought. That would be 15,000 card just like these (and the coming posts) available for the giveaway/trades/especially if I ever get caught up and could list them on TCDB. With that said, I did knowing keep some dupes too, and thus you guys have been getting them over the last two months.
Back tomorrow with the other half of the PC guys.
Haven't seen the Judge postcard. Looks cool. Also love that Griffey basketball card!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the Reggie card at spring training signing autographs, with the ad on the back of a magazine for a color computer.
ReplyDeleteLots of cool stuff there. I've never seen those postseason heroes cards before. Will probably have to grab the Posey. A few questions.
ReplyDelete1. What insert set are those "Greetings From" cards from?
2. What set is that All Time Heroes Ichiro from?
1) 2022 Archives. 2) 2008 UD Timelines
DeleteThanks! And damn would it have killed Topps to make that a one-per-team insert set? Really sucks that it's only 15 cards.
Deletecrap, I didn't know that. I thought they did do all teams. I seen the 30 and didn't pay attention that they were two fifteen card parallels. dang.
DeleteLoving those postcard inserts!
ReplyDeleteThose postcard cards are neat, but the Boston one is disappointing. Everyone else gets a cityscape and we just get the Green Monstah.
ReplyDeleteNice pulls. Was there a Detroit postcard?
ReplyDeleteEvery team got a postcard although they are standard horizontal cards.
DeleteBen, correction... only 15 teams got those cards. blame Topps.
DeleteThose postcards are great! Same question as everyone else... Where are they from?

DeleteSome great stuff! Some stuff I haven't seen before too, like the Soto 'Crest' card, and the Perez Big Bang. Very fun. I want one of those boxes you returned!
ReplyDeleteThe postcards are cool. I also like the GQ cards. The have a certain appeal about them. What a haul!!
ReplyDeleteOK, I'll say it: I know what the postcard cards are. You just sent me one! ... Also, I think you need to cut down on your PC guys, it'd help you get your posts out quicker. And I know which ones you can cut.
ReplyDeleteLet me guess..... any Dodgers, lol.
DeleteMan you always find the coolest stuff. Those "Greetings" cards are sweet, haven't seen those before.
ReplyDeleteKeep the scans coming. I enjoy seeing them all as much as you probably enjoy putting them into your collection.
ReplyDeleteNice cards.
ReplyDeleteCool post. I like the look of the Greetings from cards.
ReplyDeleteNice pickups! Must be a great dealer relationship for him to let you take a bunch of boxes and then say bring some back later!
ReplyDeleteThe relationship with that particular dealer not so good, especially since I misunderstood the "price" on the return. I'll have more on that when I get to the April Jax card show.
DeleteLove the Archives postcard inserts! Saw the Betts on Night Owl's blog a few minutes ago.

ReplyDeleteI love all the inserts. I am looking forward to my trip to Jax in June for the show
ReplyDeleteNice batch of cards. I did not just see a page of Juan Soto when he was a Nat, or some modern Ted Williams cards. Oh wait yes I did. Nice.
ReplyDeleteAll good stuff here, especially those postcards.
