I have a southern draw (sometimes depending on who I am around) that's why DamnYankees is spread out into two words. Okay you shall get your fill this week.
The winner last night was: Derek, it has been awhile.
Now, here we go.
Here you have the All-time Yankees.
Missing the first card on this one. No idea why?
Below you will find the post card set of Thurman Munson.
Okay that knocked out two of the post card sets.
Tomorrow we will be checking out Donnie Ball game.
A Yankees card of the Pope. Never seen that before!
ReplyDeleteThey could have at least based Lefty's card off of a photo from his playing days.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. Wonder who the first one was of?
ReplyDeleteThe artwork on those pinstripe cards reminds me a lot of artwork on the Diamond Kings cards from the 80s.
ReplyDeleteGo Damnyankees!
ReplyDeleteLou Gehrig is the missing postcard!

Not a huge Yanks fan, but I do like the postcards!
Also just noticed for the first time that your blog URL has three "n"s in "Johnnny" lol
ReplyDeleteI hadn't noticed that either. Apparently that is what BLOGGER did when they forced me to "upgrade" their system and discontinue my original blogs. I hate that (and I still don't like the current setup compared to the old one.
DeleteRed set at the top looks like a playing card design.
ReplyDeleteDidn't know The Pope was a Yankees fan. Who knew?
ReplyDeleteI like baseball postcards, but prefer the photo kind, not the drawing kind.
ReplyDeleteStrange cards. But the bottom sets at least have a solid Yankees theme.
ReplyDeleteVery cool pope and Rupert. Didn’t know they were apart of that set.
ReplyDeleteMatt-SCC
I didn't know The Pope had a plaque either!
ReplyDeleteThose are different, but personally I tire of sets that focus solely on the Yankees.
ReplyDeleteDo I need to start a Yankees pope PC?!
ReplyDeleteI did not expect to see a Pope Paul VI Yankees card...
ReplyDeleteThe post cards are cool. Love the art.
