The winner Friday was Derek who goes back to back for the 2nd time.
I did drive over to Jax 11/5 (Saturday), didn't grab too much. You'll have to wait a bit to see those pick ups more so what Fred (my dealer buddy) had for me.
Now let us get this party started.
The four scans above came from Kyle's boxes. Kyle has a shop in Deland I think, and does a lot of breaks that Fred attends live. Kyle usually sends a few higher end boxes back with Fred to have on his tables. Sometimes, they are marked $3.00, sometimes they are marked $5.00. These were in the $5.00 boxes. Now I didn't pay that, Fred usually cuts me the best deals, right Jeremy? lol. Nothing especially great here. My guess is they cost me shy of $2 buck each.
The rest of the scans below are basically teasers of some of what is to come on future posts. Specifically a $100.00 deal from Fred which did include what you see below and then some.
I am not sure if I already own this specific set or not. Either way, I am probably going to break it up for Player Collections. If you DO want to see the cards scanned please let me know in the comments. I still have this box sitting under my laptop table.
Okay that is all for tonight. We'll get into actual cards tomorrow.
The Unleashed cards look cool back to back - probably better than they do on their own.
ReplyDeleteAwesome stuff, congrats! I received the Wacky Packages stickers/cards from one of your earlier giveaways and they were TOTALLY AWESOME! Thanks so much, appreciate your generosity!
ReplyDeletePennants aren't usually my thing, but that pile you got looks like it could be interesting.
ReplyDeleteQuite the smorgasbord of collectibles.
ReplyDeleteGood Job! 👍
I think I spy a Reds pennant!
ReplyDeletethere might be more than 1, hehe. you'll have to see when I show them
DeleteI would love to see that Negro Leagues set - I don't think I've ever seen those before.
ReplyDeleteConsider it done. They'll be scanned and posted with th eother October card show posts.
DeleteThose decals look fun. Curious about the tub, hope it's more than just schedules.
ReplyDeleteLots of fun shiny at the top too.
There were a lot of skeds, not sure that I scanned them though (it's been a month). Decals I did scan and the small pennants too.
DeletePS: I got the package today, thank you. Will get them scanned soon.
DeleteI'm always amazed at your finds! If only I had such luck (maybe it's my narrow focus)
ReplyDeleteLove all of the Wander Franco’s you’ve been picking up lately.
ReplyDeleteThose are some cool oddball things bi like the bats, the patches, and stickers with the old school logos.
I frequent 2 card shops in DeLand. I don’t believe anyone there is named Kyle, although I might be mistaken. There are also 3-4 that I haven’t been to, so I’ll just have to take and off day and scout them out when I have the time and a little extra cash.
Then it might be the other city that starts with D down your way (you know where Fred used to live)
DeleteCongratulations to Derek! Nice show stuff for you. More autos and swatch cards than I have in my whole collection.
ReplyDeletethose tubs look awesome... just like those hot sauce inserts
ReplyDeleteThe Donruss 88 reprints make me cry...i thought we were done with that set forever. Hate that set so much. Ugh. But, a lot of these other cards are pretty cool, as are those tubs...
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the scans. I wonder what Panini does with the logo part of the jerseys they get from players haha
