1987 SSPC Baseball Immortals. I grabbed the whole set out of them dime boxes. At least I think it was complete 1-189. Anyways I scanned just 1 page worth. I've broken this set up for the PC.
This set knocks out a bunch of the Zero Card guys in the PC's. So I ask you, what would you have done? Keep it whole or break it up like I did to fit my collections.
I would have kept it whole, I can’t get myself to break up a set.
ReplyDeleteBuy two sets
ReplyDeleteIf I can pick it up in dime boxes, then I'd just acquire two. One to sit on the shelf and one to break down into my PCs, with the rest going to blogger buddies.
Delete1). Break it up
ReplyDelete2). Keep the stuff that didn't go into the other collections
3). Rebuild the set again
I've been working on this set. I'd keep it whole, picking up cards for pcs.
ReplyDeleteThe whole set in one fell swoop???? I've been wanting to complete that, but always figured I'd have to pick up like 6 at a time. I'll have to look in that.
ReplyDeleteThese look great all together.
ReplyDeleteI'm not much of a set collector, but with that being said I'm always one to keep them together if I buy them together.
ReplyDeleteFor me, if I have a full set, I keep the set together. I am OK with not having, say 1977 OPC and 1980 Burger King in my George Brett binder.
ReplyDeleteThere are no rules. Whatever works best for your collection. You still have them all. If things change you can always reassemble them.
ReplyDeleteThese cards are so bright and beautiful. I would have kept it whole and displayed it in a binder.
