I forgot to mention the previous winner of the Maddux giveaway: it was Gavin. I'll try to remember to say something this time. Rules for the giveaway:
1) Must be a follower of this blog and in the U.S. or Canada.
2) Comment on this post by midnight Friday EST.
Here are this weeks Greg Maddux cards to be given away.
In case you didn't know.....2026 Topps has added 10 more parallels to the checklists bringing the total to 67 versions of the same card PLUS the others that will come out like 582 Montgomery etc. The good news is that is NOT every card (about half fo my Braves).
There you go, I wish the week ahead be a good one!

I'll jump in with an entry for the giveaway. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYour title has me singing. I wish it was Sunday. Cuz that's my fun day. The I don't want to run day. It's just another Maddux Monday! Nice cards in the giveaway. Wouldn't that be fun to try and sort out all 67 plus? My eyes are crossing just thinking about that. Thank you for the surprise of Twins cards in the mail today. A fantastic addition to my collection. I think I saw a ray of Florida/Spring Training sunshine in there as well. We went from a glorious 50 above last Monday to a 5 above today! I guess winter is not giving up yet. Thank you for the brightness in my day from my mail kiosk parcel box. Wishing a great week to you and anyone else who sees this. Spread cheer and positivity wherever you may go.
ReplyDeleteThere are some NICE cards in this group.
ReplyDeleteAck! why are there so many parallels?!?!!?
That's insane that you would need 8 9-pocket pages to display all of the 2026 Topps parallels of any given card. INSANE
ReplyDeleteThat smoke and heat is fire!
ReplyDeleteNo need to be entered in the drawing, but I have fond memories of Maddux cards like the ones you showed. When I was a kid, he was the most valuable pitcher to pull, card-wise. When you got a pack, if it had Griffey, Thomas, Piazza, or Maddux...you did well!
ReplyDeleteI really like the card of Maddux fielding. He was such a great all around player. Not a bad hitter either, better bunter though
ReplyDeleteI'll hop in on the Maddux giveaway, man they bring back some memories!
ReplyDeleteI always liked that year of Fleer Ultra cards.
ReplyDeleteAlso I think I've decided to stop actively collecting recent (2020 onward) cards of my PCs because of the silly number of parallels. Not going to add them to my TCDB wantlists but will possibly look for them as trade filler
