A blog about the cards I get awesome deals on, cards that I have available to trade, trades and our hobby in general. I collect Braves cards (all of them) and T206 White Borders.
I haven't completed a Pacific brand set in a while.
This set is a little LOUD for me. Too much going on.
That is a Horizontal heaven for some of you. 250 card set. One of my under mentioned (on purpose) collecting goals is building ALL of the Pacific Brands. I've always had fondness for the products, and have completed a few others over the years, but certainly has been a long time.
With that said I have also been able to complete some more of the HIGH End set pursuits (thank goodness those are a little smaller in size). I am going to show/post 1 a week until they run out.
I made it to the card show this past Saturday, and brought back over 30,000 cards. I bought 6 more of those $20.00 boxes, and 4 that cost me too much more. It will take me awhile to go through them all, but I did make other purchases at the show that I can get posted. However, I'll be posting the recent ComC delivery and several other deliveries too like the HUGE SportLOts box that came in today. I am pretty sure I have enough to get through until the end of the year, especially with the two inventories that I have not requested shipment of from ComC and SportLots.
I noticed this today.
The Dodgers have 92 wins, the Astros have 87, then the Mets and Braves 85, 84, the the damnyankees at 81 no other teams have 80 wins in September yet. Seems odd for some reason. I checked last year for this date same thing 5 teams with 80+, but a lot at 78, 79. I skipped 2020 for obvious reasons 2019 had 8 teams (yes LA had 92 then as well).Back to the post.
Tonight we will be starting with the good stuff from the ComC order.
Those are dupes, they are all 3 variations of the card plus the bottom two are from different sets.
Here is the reverse side. As you can see the top 6 are in fat different. I needed all of these for my Braves team sets. Obviously, I still need them for the actual set builds, but for now I am quite pleased.
A pair of Hostess above, and below you will just be looking at card backs.
Lots of O-Pee-Chee Braves cards. Love it them whatever. Big dent in the 75's too.
A little bit of vintage Fleer and Bowman Braves love here.
Closing out with these 3 62' Post Braves. I mentioned last week that I had the Cimoli coming in that would be nicer than the one I got last week. It is much nicer and this I have decide which one stays with the Braves and which one goes to teh set build. I think I'll put the nice one with the Braves.
Free cards: follow and comment before midnight.

I had two favorite cards in the entire lot one being the personally autographed custom of Mark. Mark didn't know it but because he sent me the Winston Abreu autograph card "we" were able to correct an issue at TCDB. It is done and he didn't even know he did it. (If he hadn't of sent it to me I wouldn't have filed an IR). I needed all of the cards above (and below).
Such a happy face on Touki.
Six more needs that found their way to me. A few of the Braves I owned but had not received them when Mark's package arrived. Some of them arrived on Friday in a ComC order, the others are on their way from SportLots. Mark beat them here and I was able to mark them off my needs list. Not a big deal, a couple of them will go to the set build or to the PC's. Thanks again Mark for the superb package.
I mentioned the other day that Mark sent me a package. I knew he was sending me some (a lot) of Topps Museum cards that I needed. From the left side of the country to the right side. But wow, I opened the medium flat rate game box up and inside I found 6 or 7 different packages. I grabbed the biggest one first.
Besides the Museum that were in this package these 4 cards were. I think Mark thought the Shoppach was a Braves card (it's an Indians card), but hey I collect autos too, so it went in that box. The top pair are from 1996 Leaf Signature autographs one is from the extended set and I needed both of them.
Front.
This is the back cover. 1973 Hank Aaron press, radio and tv guide. Mark also included a couple of books on Hank.
1974. This book once belonged to the San Jose public library. :)
The original copy right for this book was 1971, but this print is from 1974. No pictures on the back so I skipped scanning. I did not own these items so much appreciated Mark. I'll get the ret of the cards (not the Museum) next week.
Have a great week and don't forget to comment below for a chance at some free baseball cards.

By now you know the skiddy on the free baseball card giveaways. Just do it!
Let's finish the card show cards. We did the vintage yesterday so newer stuff today.
A pair of on demand Acuna's and a p[air of parallels to the awesome 2021 Topps Chrome Platinum Anniversary set. I'll be showing off the complete run of Braves base cards as soon as the next ComC and SportLots orders arrive.
Pricey relic cards. The fisk is numbered to just 17. But those weren't the only newer nicer PC additions.
Yes a Mantle relic card and low numbered to boot. Normally I wouldn't go for the manufactured patches, but that Jackie Robinson looks really nice. The Vogey auto isn't for me. We know who collects him. Just let me know if you need this one.
Picked up some more Tim Tebow cards. That's it for tonight. Well, other than your comments to enter for the free cards and let you know who won last night.
