Yes you read that right. A new to me Red Stockings which is a Braves card.
Like I did with the Olympic set I posted last week, I sorted these cards vertically and horizontally for aesthetics. This go round we'll start off with verticals, but I am only doing a few scans at a time.
You see these cards make great TRIVIA knowledge. So consider these posts which I have decided to run on Tuesday's for a bit....just to TEST your wits. I will say this once the verticals are finished the horizontal backs read much clearer.
Yeah, I love history, Humanities courses were my FAVE! The other classes were too easy and bored me, lol.
If you're having trouble reading the fine print just click on the image to enlarge...I hope that works. It doesn't so I went back and enlarged them myself.

Really fun variety of subjects in these cards. I got my announcing career started in 2006 at the Golden Spike Speedway in Sauk Rapids, MN. Not even close to Utah where the Golden Spike was driven. I'm not sure if there is any correlation at all. Enjoy it all!
ReplyDeleteHistory was my favorite too. It was my major in college. Love the architecture cards here esp. Richard Morris Hunt.

DeleteI love history based trading cards. I don't have the time to read all of the card backs (gotta get ready for work in 2 mins.), but I did notice two cards I'll be looking for: Leland Stanford & King Kalākaua.
ReplyDeleteboth available on sportlots under 2023 historic autographs (with the s). .52 each but the seller has awful shipping (5.50).
DeleteYikes. Maybe I'll luck out and find these in a quarter box at the flea market :D
