OOPS, I meant to post this today.

In my haste to post tonight, I totally forgot to run the Leap Year cards.

Only going to show this one, as I really did forget to pull them out and scan them. I had this Hockey card set aside from that card show a couple weeks back.

My 2016 Topps Braves and some Trophy Cups

My 2016 Topps Series 1 Braves courtesy of Just Commons.

That will do it for me until June when Series 2 is released, unless of course the mail lady drops me parallels or inserts.

WE all know how the free shipping works with JC, so I couldn't just stop there.

Went ahead and took care of the Series 1 Rookie Cups too, plus a few other Cups I needed.

I also added a page on my site for those.       Topps All-Star Rookie Trophy Cups

I  scooped 9 of the 2004 Cup cards on this order. I still need quite a few cups to get this complete or rather current up to date.

A trade post

Back on February 16th, I mailed off one of those Mets Davey Johnson Signed team issued postcards I picked up at that last card show. Low and behold, the mail ran late that day, I was home when she came by  (after 5pm) and picked up the mail. What she put in my mailbox was a package from the very guy I was mailing the auto to. No Hit as we refer to him on OCT, and part of his email address as well: Don Roth.had mailed me some goodies too.

I had forgotten that Ole No Hit put on the waivers some of his Extras (Brooklyn Dodgers)

The Joe Black and Babe Herman are going into the Famous names binders.

A few autos came my way, and I'm pretty sure I got the better end of the auto/s.

I had to look this card up. It isn't a set that I am going to build, so I started a new stack for NOC (I just mailed off a couple of cards to him). Great looking card to start a new stack with, don't ya think?

Archives (3 above), plus an Action Packed

Two for set builds.

PC guy.

VINTAGE WITH A CAPITAL V.

More huge vintage cards for me. I can't wait until I have enough 50s and 60s to list a want/needs page! I only wish that when I got that monster box of vintage I knew that I would wind up building those sets. I've traded most of them away over the last 3 years. OUCH. MY BAD, SHAME ON ME. No, that's not true because I always got something in trade that I wanted too. Well, maybe one time I wasn't excited about the return.

These are the super sized versions from 1997.  SWEET.

Don also included a rack pack of 1991 Topps ( I ripped them soon as I scanned them) I didn't get the one single card I need, BOBBY COX a Braves card, go figure! Finishing off the package was these HOF plaque cards, so cool.

Shadow Shots

After waking up to freezing temperatures and ice on the windhsield, it has turned into a beautiful sunny day. Now that I got my "burr" over. Lets look at some shadows.

Other than the number 4, I don't know what this could be. Let's flip it over and see if that helps.

Okay, that's familiar, I've done this one before. I see a hand grabbing or reaching for a fancy bottle or maybe a doll.

I think we just done this one not long ago. A Doe on the run.

Same with this one. No, not a Doe. A humanized pair of lips.

Nice wall shot.

Have a great weekend.

Dealer 3 : Final card and the 5 cards from Dealer 4

Last card from Dealer 3 (Eddie). Now I only need one last card to complete my 1985 Topps set #401 Mark McGwire. Now I did get 2 large boxes of cards 1 Hockey and 1 Football which I traded the football to my buddy Bob and will show those cards next week.

Eddie is opening up a "brick and mortar" shop in Jacksonville (2 hrs each way) next week, and I am hoping to go the Grand Opening, we'll see.

I spent so much of the day with dealer 3 that I didn't have time (or money) for Dealer 4. I quickly scanned his cards pulled 5 cards for buck each.

This one was for the set build as I already had one in the Braves team sets.

No, you're not seeing double by mistake. I needed these guys for both the Team set and set builds.
Visited this dealer (Jake, an elderly man) today when I swung by the flea market and grabbed a few more 50s cards from him, that too will be a different post.

Have a great weekend.

Dealer 3: Set Builds: Part 2

Picking up where I left off on Tuesday.

I had forgot that I wasn't going to build the Topps Gallery sets, but it's okay because those 3 guys fit into the PCs. I am still debating as to building the Topps Finest sets, and for now just grabbing them when I see them cheap. O-Pee-Chee, love em, can't get enough of those.

Penny A & G.  Yeah, I know: Kershaw, Bum, Rivera. SWEET!

Just caught that Towles dupe.

Fleer & Flair Greats are some of the best short sets out there.  I liked the Flair flagships since they first came out in 1993. Nice to grab a few here and there.

What, .0095 cents for each of these winners.

What another Raines rookie. I don't have a lot of 1981 or 1982 Donruss or Fleer cards, so grabbing these was nice. The 1987 Donruss and 1990 Leaf are down to just a few cards each to close them out.

I know right?

One word. Dang!

Beats the heck out of buying a pack of Prizm (4 cards). Cherry picked these, if I had known the bottom price was gonna be less than a penny I would have grabbed every stinking one he had.

Sorry I made the Dealer 3 posts scan heavy, but I decided not to run this card show series for another month or so. I only have a couple more posts left (I'm not showing the Hockey cards) and then the last post will be just 5 cards that came from Dealer 4.

Hump Day Hoots (Okay, so it's just Wacky Wednesday)

Here are a few cards I that caught my eye for one reason or another.

This one I actually kept in my oddball binder with the footballs and surfboards.

This card has to make you smile.

A lollipop. No, I think that's a Tootsie Pop. Maybe its a Dum Dum, nah it's a Tootsie Pop.

Fan mail, is your TTM in there?

It's kind of goofy.

Nick would like this one, wait a minute you know darn well he probably has it. Trophy and a microphone.  The real eye catcher is...... Whats going on in the background?

Chow time!

Another keeper a few times over.  Obviously the bat catches everyones' attention, but what is Tony clapping at or for? I bet a Padres fan knows what was really going on.

Dealer 3: Set Build cards. (With a lot of Heritage love) Part 1

Not too much to say here. I am working on SO MANY sets, it is easy hitting them while "Nicking" my way through a box.

Throwing these out (not literally) to start the post. I didn't need either of them, but how could I not take a Raines Rookie and second year Gwynns (for less than a penny)? Do you remember that I showed one I paid .50 for with Dealer 1 at this show?

I do believe that 1993 SP Piazza has a "Braves in the Background" card. But, I'm not totally convinced. It looks like it could be Jeff Blauser.

Getting some penny vintage cards for those set builds. I'm going to have to land another one of those NY Mets team cards. Joe Frazier as the manager, (boxer Joe Frazier) could be paired up in my "Famous Names" binder.

That Brett is pretty best up. But no way was I leaving it the box.

Being that I don't really have any quantity of Heritage, I decided to scoop these bad boys up. Of course I strategically placed the Brave in the middle for you.

There was quite a few of the 2012 Heritage, and I grabbed them all.

Do you blame me? Would you grab the Heritage, even if you thought it would be a dime a piece?

If not the Heritage, how about Archives?

I think this is a good stopping point for PART 1 of the Set Builds.
