The Archives...

It's my turn. Last week, I opted for 3 yes 3 blasters of 2017 Archives from Wally World. Why did I do that? I'll tell ya. When I was at the June 3rd card show, I was eyeballing a hobby box (or two). They were priced $85.00, I said no way. I totally regret not grabbing both...Maybe they will still be there (at that price) this weekend. I came home from the show logged into D & A, that's when I said damn! The next day I went to Target, none there, went to Walmart, and found 3 blasters no packs. I got them all. Tonight we'll compare all 3 boxes.

Inside each box was a 2 pack of the coins. These were the best 3.

First plug from each box is the "best cards" .  What I call the best cards....Braves and inserts.

 Box 1:

Eddie, Judge, 1 Jeter, and a Gold Miggy.

Box 2:

Spahn, Jeter, a peach insert, and an auto.

Box 3:

Dansby & Teheran, 2 Jeters one a numbered parallel, Judge insert, and an auto. I'm pretty sure box 3 blows the other 2 out of the water as far as "best" cards go. But, we really need to look at the regular cards too. then I'd like for y'all to decide which blaster was better (comment 1. 2. or 3) and maybe why if you feel like it (ya never know if I'm running a secret contest). Maybe one box is loaded with your favorite team or what not.

Box 1:

Maybe one box has a shot of a player you like that is just crying out to you......or maybe has more Super Stars or Hall of Famers......

Box 2:

I don't feel the need to go over the pros & cons with the set as that has already been done.

Box 3:

I didn't need this Brave (Ruiz) for the team set because I had one from the card show, it will go in with the set build. But that really would make 3 Braves in this box.

Yes, I'm going to have to get another Cueto.

I didn't check these for SP/variations, but I not thinking there are any. LMK if there is!
LMK which is the overall best box, tell me why.

  1. Well, for my collecting purposes, Box 2 was best..
Box three was second and Box 1 was last.

  2. I really dislike Skip Bayless, so that taints Box 2 for me. Gotta go Box 3.

  3. Tough for old timers I think 1 was best, for my homie team Nationals and Senators box 3. Then box 2 even though there was a Bryce Hawper in there.

  6. The hits makes Box 3 the best of the bunch, although Box 2 gets a couple of points for the interesting selection of base cards, specifically Ryan as a Met and Whitey Herzog's inclusion.
