Shiny and often Colorful

The other day I made my 2nd post from a batch of cards I took off of Wes (Willingham Rising, fka JBF) hands. Tonight we'll be staying with the Topps theme, but the non-flagship shiny kind of way.

Some of those refractors are pretty easy to spot.

All of these cards like the previous JBF post were all needs to my Braves want lists.

That Evans is uncirculated and just my 2nd Braves uncirculated card. Still have a lot more to clear off from Wes, but I should be done soon.

A Trade Post

I was browsing through my scan folders and realized I missed posting some inbound trades.

This card came via AJ The Lost Collector. It was a contest win.  Thanks AJ! Sorry it took so long to post.

This card came to me from an OCT bud, Don Roth who just so happens to be buds with Dave. BTW, Did you know that Lemanczyk teaches Golf?

This Elway (which was needed) came from another OCT member Bob D'Angelo.

And this pair of Glavines came from Tom over at Angels in Order. Thanks Tom, and again so sorry it took so long to post.

Shadow Shots

Who wants to stare gazzingly (not a real word) into the cardboard? I often find myself looking at the darnedest things on cardboard.

Yet, I still don't see anything in this shadow other than.....It's just an awesome shadow shot!

Unlike the card above, you may be distracted by this players name, or maybe it's just the elephant in the background.

I see a rooster.

I'm going with the finger bunny sign. It's my blog and I can do it if I want to.

And this time I really do see an ostrich.

On the Colorful side

Several months back I bought a HUGE box of Braves cards from JBF (I mean Wes). I had posted the inserts and autos back then. I have finally got around to checking the remaining stacks.

All gold here folks. Tonight is just the base Topps Flagship parallels.

I really don't have many yellows.

My first Gold Rush promo. I didn't even know they existed.

Wrapping up with a few Blacks and the Framed Markakis at the top, my first there as well. These parallels were all needed hits to my Braves want lists. I will highlight a different group tomorrow.

Have a great night.

Wacky Wednesday

The last of the Mohicans' so to speak.

can't have too much tape.

not yet.

used it.

used it.

once in a blue moon.

it's always around.

I love spicy, but I can't stand Tabasco.

Five, count them 5 puzzles in the set, then again it was an 80 card set this year.

Some of these ad/coupon backs are as good as the sticker fronts.
Folks that finally wraps up ANS Series 6. Whew!

Shadow Shots

Another weekends worth of Shadows. I haven't posted in a couple of days, sorry about that. Family came down for a few days.

I could just say great shadow, but I see a TMNT with a bat in his hands.

That is a great shadow!

A fancy script lett A (sideways of course).

Do you remember those little green army men that came 100 in a bag from back in the day. I see one of those guys.....maybe one that laying in the prone position with his rifle. Or better yet, crawling with his weapon slung across the forearms.

The only way I'll eat fish is Gortons or Mrs. Paul.

I've never bought these, but I'm pretty sure my step-dad did once.

TRADE POST

I got two trades in the mailbox today.

The first one was a PWE from Steve over at COLLATING CARDS.

Sometimes, when you are a team collector, you have to collect guys you can't stand. DJ is one of those guys for me. My least favorite Brave of all time. hey that would make a cool bat/blog around....
Who is your least favorite "team" player? And why?

Now here are 2 of my favorites. Thanks Steve, hope your Post cards made it today as well.

Next up has to be the largest padded/bubble mailer I've ever received.

This batch came from Brian over at HSCA.  Brian hit my vintage Braves team needs (and I didn't even know I needed it, thanks.

Brian hit my Cup binder too.

Brian sent along a few Braves too. I haven't checked them against my lists yet, so I scanned some up I wasn't sure about.

I know I ordered the GQ from JC, just don't remember if they are waiting on me in Ocala or in my cart. Rest assured I'll check that here shortly. I know I didn't have/order that Dansby insert, SWEET!

Some horizontal needs I'm sure.

A pair of variations. Or what used to be class differences.

Brian even remembered I have a Coca-Cola binder, which I will have to wait til I get back home to check to see if this were needs.

Brian even sent cards for my Elway Super Collection. Pretty sure I have the top two, but not positive about the bottom two.

And to end this post will be my favorite of the batch.

A Smoltzy auto.

Thanks Steve and Brian.
